Tis the season for Christmas Letters, looking back fondly, and looking ahead…
If you live in or near Southport, Oak Island, or Holden Beach, or if you visit us over the winter months you will know there is no shortage of holiday cheer or things to do just because the temperature drops a few degrees!
That’s certainly true for us at Margaret Rudd & Associates. We were pleased to join in the Oak Island Christmas Parade in early December. It’s part of the festival organized by the Southport-Oak Island Chamber of Commerce called Christmas by the Sea. It’s a wonderful event for full-time residents, their visiting families, folks who come down for week-ends and for weeks at a time, for every one, both young and old.
We were also quite proud to see one of our brokers, Cindy Sellers, acting as the Concert Director of the Sea Notes Choral Society once again. They joined the Brunswick Concert Band for two performances of Christmas Holiday Pops at Odell Williamson Auditorium and packed the house two nights in a row in mid-December. Coverage of the event can be found on the State Port Pilot’s website (look for the December 15 issue). Here’s a link to the WHQR Midday Café interview. http://ruddfiles.com/whqrinterview.wma
Coming up we look forward to more sun (have you noticed its already coming up sooner and setting a bit later?) and more fun. If you’ve made a resolution to get more physical activity into your weekly routine, check out the Brunswick County Parks and Recreation Spring Fitness schedule. We’ve noticed Shag Dance Lessons being offered at their Southport location starting January 13. Beginners meet at 6pm and the Intermediate group starts at 7pm. Space is limited, there is a fee, and you need to pre-register but it’s a great way to be social and put some more “Spring” in your step at the same time. Call them at (910)253-2670
Whatever you choose to do in the brand new year ahead, do it with enthusiasm!
Warm Holiday Wishes from all of us at Margaret Rudd & Associates, Inc., REALTORS®
