Glenn Paul grew up in the Washington Park neighborhood of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His paper route covered the historic district. Walking up onto the porches of his customers’ homes, he closely observed the variety of architectural styles among Washington Park’s grand classic houses and cozy early 20th-century bungalows. That’s when the paperboy became hooked on architecture.
Studies in graphic design and photography landed him a job at America’s largest home furnishings catalog studio. Located in High Point, North Carolina, the furniture capital of the world, Glenn Paul spent many years immersed in interior design, the decorative arts and building products while helping create catalogs for the nation’s top manufactures and retailers. He traveled extensively to all the major furnishings and building products industry trade shows. His interest in architecture turned to passion. Glenn Paul freelanced as an architectural illustrator creating architectural elevation renderings from blueprints. Abstract architectural photography became a favorite creative pastime.
A second career in magazine publishing enabled Glenn Paul to travel all around North Carolina, especially the coast from Corolla to Calabash. Working for Our State, the state’s cultural heritage and travel magazine plus home design and lifestyle magazines in North Carolina’s major cities, architectural and interior design history and style across North Carolina came into even greater focus.
With lifelong experiences along the North Carolina Brunswick Islands and a home on Oak Island for the past 27 years, this stretch of Cape Fear coast is his favorite. So now, with decades of local community knowledge and deep love of place, his focus is helping with relocation, second homes and investment properties at Southport, Bald Head Island, St. James Plantation, Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach, Calabash and surrounding resort communities.
Glenn Paul has earned the National Association of Realtors® designation as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist®/SRES® as well as certification as a Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist/RSPS to provide best-practice knowledge when working with clients.
Glenn Paul’s keen eye for style, design and construction along with a down-to-earth business approach and patient attention to detail will prove a valuable asset when either selling or looking for your perfect place to call home.
