Tami Knecht

Originally from the West Coast, Tami became a “GRITS” (Girl Raised in the South) when her family moved to Plymouth, North Carolina in 1968. She fell in love with the history, culture, and warmth of Southern life. Although she spent over 30 years living in Gig Harbor, Washington, Tami’s heart always belonged to the South, and in 2007, she returned to the coast, settling at Edisto Beach in South Carolina before eventually relocating to Oak Island.

Tami’s background is diverse. She owned her own travel agency, traveling the world and experiencing different cultures, and she has always been passionate about giving back to the community. From her involvement in the turtle program and local art guild to tutoring young students and teaching English as a second language, Tami has made a lasting impact wherever she’s lived. 

Real estate has long been one of Tami’s passions, particularly helping clients find their perfect coastal getaway. Having previously worked as a real estate receptionist and with a background in home design, she combines her knowledge of property with a genuine love for beach living. Tami is committed to helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals and find their own piece of paradise at the beach.
