Brunswick County Golf

Brunswick County, North Carolina is home to some of the top golf courses in the United States--and even beyond. These world-famous links have hosted golfing greats for generations. They draw visitors and would-be homeowners who are passionate about the game and want to enjoy a peerless experience in pristine surroundings.

If you're planning a visit, don't overlook these six renowned golf clubs throughout our communities:

  1. Bald Head Island Club - Bald Head Island, NC
Bald Head Island is well known for its historic lighthouse, but the Bald Head Island Club is every bit a key part of this island paradise. Designed by none other than George Cobb and recently restored by Tim Cate, it's been welcoming guests since 1974.

  2. Brick Landing Plantation Golf Club - Ocean Isle Beach, NC
Brick Landing Plantation is lauded for The View restaurant and "the delectable Southern occasion" of Sunday brunch. Its golf course hosts many annual events and tournaments on a beautiful, yet wickedly difficult eighteen holes right amidst the Carolina Intercoastal Waterway.

  3. Carolina National Golf Club - Bolivia, NC
The National Golf Club distinguishes itself with a 27-hole Fred Couples signature golf course. Unlike many local private clubs, it is open to the public from morning through evening on both Saturday and Sunday. Winding lazily through the low country, it offers a wide range of striking golfing challenges.

  4. The Lakes Country Club - Boiling Spring Lakes, NC
As you'd expect from the name, The Lakes is defined by its natural water hazards and forest environs. With a max length over 6,700 yards and a 72.9-course rating, the course is a true championship experience. It was designed by architect George Riccaboni and opened back in 1962.

  5. Oak Island Par 3 At South Harbour - Oak Island, NC
Touted as South Brunswick Island's very best par three course, Oak Island Par 3 was engineered to offer interesting and enjoyable holes for players of all skill levels. Couples and children are welcome. Plus, the course is open to the public and does not require a membership.

  6. Oyster Bay Golf Links - Sunset Beach, NC
Voted "Resort Course of the Year" by Golf Digest, Oyster Bay has long been thought of as one of the top 50 public courses in the United States. Variety and innovation are the key ideas that drive Oyster Bay, with long holes, short holes, and everything in between in a dazzling array of settings.
