Downtown Southport has a character of its own, one you should explore now! Here are the places to visit.

There's a lot to see and do in Southport! With a vibrant Downtown district just footsteps away from the water, Southport offers all kinds of fun shopping and dining options. Sometimes our real estate agents just like to walk around Downtown Southport and take it all in, and these are some of our favorite local businesses to check out.

  • Old Southport Village Shoppes - 1102 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461
True to their name, the Old Southport Village Shoppes really do give the impression that you're exploring a tiny village. Each of the small, cozy shops along the village "street" are packed with a wide selection of local goods, mostly of the handmade variety. You'll find everything from crafts and decor to artisan soaps, candy, and preserves. The shops are located a stone's throw from many beautiful Southport homes for sale, and exploring them is always a unique experience.

  • Cape Fear Jewelers - 102 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461
Offering a beautiful and ever-changing collection of jewelry in a wide range of styles, Cape Fear Jewelers is a great place to find souvenirs of your time in Southport. Their collection includes one of the region's largest selections of charms and nautical-themed jewelry. The shop is also a favorite local destination for bridal jewelry, and in-house jewelers are available for custom orders and repairs.

  • Bella Cucina - 5177 Southport-Supply Rd SE, Southport, NC 28461
A fun dining experience is always on the menu at Bella Cucina. This beloved Italian eatery provides a great blend of classy and casual in its warm, welcoming space. They serve up some of the best pizza in Southport, not to mention fresh, locally-caught seafood dishes. The chef chooses the featured fish of the day depending on what's available in season, but you can always count on freshness and quality.

  • Bullfrog Corner - 101 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461
It really is all fun and games at Bullfrog Corner, a funky local shop that specializes in sweet treats, entertaining games and novelties. They sell old-fashioned candy by the pound and keep a unique assortment of toys, games and puzzles in stock. Spending some time in Bullfrog corner is a must if you're visiting Southport with kids, but grown-ups are sure to have a good time as well, especially those with a sweet tooth!

  • Boo & Roo's - 112 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461
A colorful boutique with gifts for all occasions, Boo & Roo's is always full of surprises. From jewelry and handbags to wind chimes and home decor, it's one of the most enjoyable shops to take your time browsing through. They've also been voted the best gift shop in Brunswick County. And although Boo & Roo's is a gift shop first and foremost, they also carry a lot of handy items for family trips to Southport, including beach essentials and an extensive baby department.

  • Moore Street Market - 130 E Moore St, Southport, NC 28461
One of Southport's favorite breakfast, brunch, and lunch spots, Moore Street Market is the perfect place to start your day or refuel while you're out and about. They make some seriously killer sandwiches and salads, and their breakfast sandwiches are especially tasty. Moore Street Market also serves organic coffee and espresso from the Raleigh-based roaster Larry's Beans, and you might just recognize their storefront from its appearance in the 2013 Nicholas Sparks film Safe Haven.
