It's almost time once again for Labor Day weekend festivities in Brunswick County, and the fun starts with one of our area's favorite annual events. Go Jump in the Lake, a 5K run and day filled with festivities is the perfect place to have some healthy, local fun as summer winds down. The event is organized by the Southport Rotary Club and supports a variety of good local causes. It's a fun, family-friendly event, and a great chance to give back to the community. Our REALTORS® are lacing up their running shoes, and we've got all of the details on Go Jump in the Lake for 2019.
The maritime community of Southport is well-known for having one of North Carolina's most popular 4th of July Celebrations, with nearly two full weeks of events that draw visitors from throughout NC and beyond. Thanks to the popularity and long history of Southport's Independence Day celebration, it was declared the NC 4th of July Festival in 1972.
The festival features tons of patriotic activities, fun attractions for the whole family, great opportunities to explore the community, and of course a spectacular fireworks display when the big day arrives. Our REALTORS® are ready to celebrate, and we've got the details on what to expect from Southport's NC 4th of July Festival and Fireworks this year.

The diverse natural beauty of Brunswick County is a major attraction for so many people shopping for Southport homes for sale and long-time residents alike. The parks, docks, beaches, wetlands, swamps, and waterways that surround Southport make for beautiful vistas and ideal habitats for a variety of local wildlife. It's no surprise that residents love to both enjoy and protect the area's abundant natural beauty, which makes the annual NatureFest a perfect opportunity to celebrate spring in the area. The festival, spread over two days, is filled with exciting speakers and opportunities to appreciate local natural sites.
