Margaret Rudd Bishop is a proud native of North Carolina whose adventurous spirit and entrepreneurial drive led her to establish a small real estate company on Oak Island in 1981. With cherished childhood memories of family vacations on the island, Margaret returned to her roots to create a thriving business and deep family connections. Over 3 decades and 2 additional offices later, Margaret Rudd & Associates, Inc., REALTORS® has grown into one of the largest independent agencies in Brunswick County.

For Margaret, the success of the company is not measured by its size or sales volume, but by its unwavering commitment to serving clients and enhancing the community. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Margaret earned her real estate license in 1973 and has dedicated her career to excellence in the field.

As a mother to 3 daughters—2 of whom have joined the family business—and a grandmother to 6 vibrant grandchildren, Margaret values the importance of family. Her husband, Al, brings 3 sons and 10 grandchildren into the mix, ensuring family gatherings are filled with energy and joy.

Margaret and Al are not your average grandparents; their adventurous spirit takes them on cycling journeys around the globe, including a remarkable 4,000-mile trek across the United States. Each year, they delight in racing their grandchildren down ski slopes during family vacations. When not exploring the world, Margaret enjoys curling up with a good book or savoring a plate of fresh seafood.
